Plan Selector Overview

Health New England offers plans in all three categories defined by the Connector: "Bronze" plans with low monthly premiums and higher out of pocket costs for covered services, "Silver" plans with middle range premiums and out of pocket costs, and "Gold" plans with higher monthly premiums and lower out of pocket costs.

One piece of advice we give everyone is to make an informed decision before you select your plan. What you pay for the monthly premium is an important consideration, but it's not the only one. Members should also look at out-of-pocket costs which will vary from modest copayments to several thousand dollars, depending on the plan.

Network is another critical piece. Where do you have to go to get covered services? With HNE, we’ve been working with the doctors and other health care providers here in Western Mass for the last 20 years.
