Health New England is participating as a member of the NPI Workgroup, sponsored by the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium (MHDC), to educate providers about the National Provider Identifier (NPI).  This workgroup is comprised of representatives from Massachusetts hospitals, health plans, payers, state and federal government entities, the Board of Registration in Medicine (BORIM), and MHDC.  The NPI Workgroup has published several Advisories to communicate important NPI information to providers.
